As we step into a brand-new Rotary year, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all club Presidents embracing this year’s Rotary International President Olayinka Hakeem Babalola’s message, “Create Lasting Impact.” With renewed energy, fresh leadership, and a shared commitment to service, we begin this journey together — united in purpose and ready to make a meaningful difference in our communities and beyond.
This year, our focus is on member retention, not just recruiting new members. Many members leave due to a lack of pride and belonging. We will strengthen our member care programs and set up a Retention Survey Team to gather data, helping clubs improve their club experience for members.
We must also build new clubs — not just fill existing ones. Innovative formats like satellite and passport clubs can attract fresh members. To encourage growth, clubs with net membership gains at the end of the Rotary year will receive HK$1,000 for each net gain member from the district to support their service projects.
Fellowship and unity matter. We will organize cultural and sports events to boost happiness and pride. We also embrace Rotaractors as equal partners, inviting them into leadership and planning roles.
Once again, I congratulate all Club Presidents and Clubs embracing “Create Lasting Impact.” Together, we are united in purpose and ready to make a meaningful difference.
