The Rotary Year of 2026–2027 officially commenced with the spectacular District Installation held on July 4, 2026, at the Hopewell Hotel. Approximately 900 Rotarians and guests gathered for an evening filled with inspiration, recognition, and fellowship.
We were deeply honored to welcome Guest of Honor Dr. the Honorable Choi Yuk Lin, JP, Secretary for Education, whose presence underscored the public recognition of Rotary’s strong partnership with the community and our commitment to service and leadership.
The evening was further elevated by the attendance of Rotary International President-Elect (RIPE) Larry Lunsford and his spouse Gill, whose encouraging remarks inspired all in attendance.
The Installation was not only a celebration of leadership transition, but also a powerful reminder of Rotary’s enduring mission. Through heartfelt speeches, recognition of dedicated leaders, and the fellowship shared among members, the evening truly reflected the spirit of “Create Lasting Impact.”
The evening ended on a perfect note with a special performance by renowned singer Mr. Albert Au (區瑞強), who composed a beautiful song – “相識在扶輪” (Fate in Rotary) – just for District Governor (DG) Jimmy & Rotary International District 3450 (RID 3450). All our “Create Lasting Impact” presidents joined DG Jimmy on stage, creating a heartwarming finale that left everyone smiling.
Moving Forward Together
As RID 3450 embarks on this new year, we do so with unity, enthusiasm, and purpose. From international conventions to district celebrations, from leadership fellowship to community service, our journey is just beginning.
